Everything about Provinces And Regions Of Panama totally explained

Panama is divided into nine provinces (Spanish: provincias) and three provincial-level indigenous regions (Spanish: comarcas indígenas, often foreshortened to comarcas).
   There are two further comarcas within provinces that are considered equivalent to a corregimiento (municipality). The nine provinces are:
Province Capital
Bocas del Toro Bocas del Toro
Chiriquí David
Coclé Penonomé
Colón Colón
Darién La Palma
Herrera Chitré
Los Santos Las Tablas
Panamá Panamá
Veraguas Santiago de Veraguas
The three provincial-level comarcas (indicated by shading on the map above) are:
Comarca Capital
Emberá Union Choco
Kuna Yala El Porvenir
Ngöbe-Buglé Chichica
The two sub-provincial comarcas are:
Comarca Province
Kuna de Madugandí Panamá
Kuna de Wargandí Darién
